
Mary Collins is an incredibly well respected PR practitioner in the TV business, with an enviable 20year track-record at CEO and board level, working with some of highest profile names in the industry. She now works for a wide range of entertainment, corporate and lifestyle clients, offering strategic and hands on media relations.
At BBC Worldwide she was Head of International Communications (a post that she held for nine years), where she managed an international communications team based in London, New York and Sydney and oversaw a global network of agencies. During this time she managed international communications for a raft of major BBC brands including Teletubbies, Walking with Dinosaurs, The Blue Planet, Strictly Come Dancing, Doctor Who, The Weakest Link, and the award-winning feature film, Deep Blue, a spin-off from the TV series The Blue Planet. She also oversaw the launch of several new TV channels including BBC America, BBC Prime in Asia, BBC Kids and BBC Canada.
As Head of Communications for UKTV, Britain’s second biggest multi-channel broadcaster, she managed the corporate profile of the company and oversaw the publicity of its nine unique channel brands, including the award-winning Dave.
